Alta Steward was born January 4th, 1932 and passed April 25th, 2022. She retired from Big Star after working there for 23 years. Some of her hobbies included gardening, fishing, cooking and playing Bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Webber Steward; great grandson Joseph Lee Creekmore and great great granddaughter Brooky Creekmore. Alta is survived by her children Linda Watson (Otis) of Paris, TN, Bill Steward of Germantown, TN, Kenneth Creekmore (Kathi) of Verona, PA, David Gosa and longtime girlfriend Kelli Dover of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren Samantha Watson of Paris, TN, Cody Watson of Memphis, TN, Angel Tucker of Cleveland, GA, Shannon Peevy of Columbus, GA, Amanda Kermes of Dayton, Ohio, and Donald Marcum of Columbus, Ohio; great grandchildren Bryson Allen, Bishop Whitfield, Derrick Sutton, Shane and Samuel Chandler, Christian and Alex Creekmore, Xander Tucker, Josh, Zach, Mia, and Claire Marcum, Scarlett Dispain, Jayden Kermes, Desiree and Michael Taillon; great great grandchildren Willow and Oliver Wickline, Kayson and Elias Taillon, Mary Jane and Jameson Chandler, Aiden, Octavia, Ayda and Lilith Creekmore, and Carter Bresnahan; and best friend Carolyn Dupree.

The family will be receiving friends Saturday, May 14th, from 2-3 pm with services to follow at 3 pm all at Hernando Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hernando Memorial Park.
