Obituary for Arthur (Larry) Lawrence Collins
Arthur Lawrence “Larry” Collins, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle passed away peacefully at his home in Horn Lake, Mississippi surrounded by family on August 13th, 2022. He was 83, born on August 17th, 1938, to parents Mary Lula Culpepper and Robert Lawrence Collins of Shannon, Mississippi. He served in the United States Air Force and retired in 1994 from a 31-year career as Engineer for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Larry loved spending time with his family and friends, and he especially loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and traveling across the country with his wife in their RV. He was also an avid reader of western novels. He was a member and volunteer at First Baptist Church Horn Lake.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Jean Collins, and their blended family.
Children: Ricky Replogle and wife Debra of Elizabeth, Arkansas, Keith Replogle and wife Eloisa of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Sandy Kleweis and husband John of Royse City, Texas, Debbie Collins of Rockwall, Texas, Diane Whitley and husband Guy of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Donna Bradle and husband Eric of Grapevine, Texas.
Grandchildren: Jenny Berry and husband Joel, Summer Pinkston and husband Dylan, Elizabeth Replogle, Channing Pellegrini and husband Chris, Megan Bradle, Macy Hunter, Collin Whitley and wife Makayla, Hanna Bradle, Madelyn Whitley.
Great Grandchildren: Kai Pinkston, Riley Pellegrini.
Brothers: Bobby Collins of Florence, Alabama, Charlie Collins of Shannon, Mississippi and sister Joyce Harper of Tupelo, Mississippi.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy Collins and sister Martha Crawford.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 18th at Hernando Funeral Home in Hernando, Mississippi. Visitation from 1-2pm and Services begin at 2pm. Interment to follow at New Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
