On Saturday, June 4th, 2022, Randy Bruce Vest of Hernando, MS died at age 75. He is now resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus. Bruce was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Pappy. Bruce was born February 6th, 1947, in Hernando, MS to Harvey and Mary Vest. He loved his family very much and working on the farm he was raised on. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, camping in his RV, and hanging out with his grandkids. He built many custom homes and retired from Northwest MS Community College after over twenty-five years. He could fix and build anything. Bruce is survived by his wife Sandy Sandford Vest of fifty-three years; his daughters Amy Vest Jenkins (Mac) and Wendy Vest Thompson (Kevin), his sister Ann Vest Hart; grandchildren Michael Thompson, Cole Thompson, Anna Leigh Jenkins, and Mary McRae Jenkins, and nephews William Hart and Dan Hart. He was preceded by his parents Harvey and Mary Vest. The family will be receiving friends Thursday, June 9th, from 9:30-11 am with services beginning at 11 am at Parkway Baptist Church in Hernando.
At his request, a private graveside service will be held at Grays Creek Cemetery in Hernando, MS.
