Carolyn Gartrell Talley, 73, of Nesbit, MS, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Chad) Dennis; her grandchildren, Aaron and Lauryn Dennis; and her great- grandson, Ayden Dennis, of Nesbit, MS. A life-long resident of DeSoto County, Carolyn was a graduate of Horn Lake High School, Class of '65, as well as a graduate of Delta State College. Having retired in 2018, she was dedicated to the career she began in 1969. Carolyn will be missed by all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, former co-workers, and members of her church congregation for her sense of humor and her kind spirit. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Robert Talley, and her parents, John and Elizabeth Gartrell of DeSoto County, MS. She leaves a large family who loves her, including sisters Margaret (Gene) Wheeler of Oxford, KS, and Joyce (Mike) Boone of Nesbit, MS; brother Albert (Ginger) Gartrell of Walls, MS, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. A private graveside service will be held December 2. A memorial service will be announced later.
