Charles Edward Manuel was the monarch of his family. He held it all together and when things got tough, so did his grip. If you have ever seen his hands, they could hold a lot. His hands have held many fun times, much sorrow and loss. His hands played music and could play any instrument he picked up.
Charles was a social man. His friends and family surrounded him everyday, and if they were not in his presence, they were on their way, and he was certainly waiting for them.
When "the guys," his grandkids, or his two girls showed up, you would see the man stand a foot taller. He always had a smile on his face.
Charles was the entertainment at any and all family functions. He often played guitar at his music room or strolled up to his daughter's to play piano. He spent his life making music so he could make others happy. He was such a selfless man, and he would do without so others had enough.
In the evenings when night fell, he loved to finish the day with the company of his wife and little dog, Sally, watching old family videos or listening to music while she painted. He has had a long life with Janice - 28 years. She will tell you that her husband was a man of great strength and the only one for her.
Charles was loved unconditionally and to miss him is an understatement, and the magnitude of heartache is tremendous.
Please always keep your fun and happy memories of him first and foremost because it is truly how he would want it.
