Obituary for David Louie Jenkins
David Louie Jenkins, 72 of Hernando, MS passed away on March 26, 2023.
David was born in Memphis, TN to Joseph Louie Jenkins and Annie (Billie) Jenkins on June 23,
1950. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Memphis, TN and attended Northwest Community College. David was a combat veteran serving with the 101* Infantry in Vietnam. He was a Plumbing Contractor in Hernando, MS and attended Hernando United Methodist Church.
David loved the outdoors including fishing, being by the pool and attending car shows with his antique truck that he inherited from his father. David also loved attending New Orleans Saints games and spending time with his family.
David was preceded in death by his father Joseph L. Jenkins
He is survived by his son, Scott Jenkins, Mother, Annie (Billie) Jenkins Murphy, brothers William
J. Jenkins and James A. Jenkins, sister Jayne Clark and numerous nieces and nephews. David and Barbara Phillips were the most faithful and loving companions for over two decades.
A visitation will be held at Hernando United Methodist Church, 1890 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Hernando, MS on Tuesday, April 4th from 10-12 with services immediately following. Burial will take place at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd., Memphis,
