Obituary for Donna Sularin

Donna Gale Sularin left this world for her heavenly home on December 12, 2021 following a six year battle from a recurrence of breast cancer that she had previously fought earlier in her life. She is preceded in death by her father Albert L. Broadway. She leaves her mother Peggy McGann Broadway and her son Albert Kirkland Sularin. She also leaves her aunt Norma Treadway, her cousin Sheryl King along with numerous others.
She was born in Memphis, TN on January 15th, 1957 and grew up in Southaven, MS. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 1979 with a BS degree in English. After teaching school for a year, her heart led her to return to school to pursue physical therapy. She practiced for 28 years primarily in pediatrics. She founded a non-profit organization, through the Roof Pediatrics, that provided different types of therapy for children with special needs. The service is free of charge to their families. She worked passionately and endlessly so that she could help others. Numerous children and families’ lives were changed because of her life’s work. Her caring heart extended to animals as well. She had a dog or cat at almost all points of her life that she always loved deeply. Having a strong dedication to sports that she got from her father, she loved all Mississippi State athletics along with the Memphis Grizzlies.
The amount of goodness she has given to this world would be too many to list. Her most treasured accomplishment was the relationship she has with Jesus Christ. A woman of immensely strong faith to the very end. She spent a great amount of time studying the Bible and its history. Her son, Kirk, was the joy of her life and he tirelessly cared for her during her illness. The strong support group she gathered from her home at Getwell Church along with her life long friends blessed her life. She was surrounded by love. She wanted to thank all of her family, friends, and hospice staff for time and care they provided in her final days.
The family will be receiving friends Friday, December 17th, from 2-3pm at Getwell Church in Southaven, MS with services starting at 3 pm. Internment to follow at Boggan Cemetery.
