Obituary for Eldon Gilbert Morse
Eldon Gilbert Morse, age 80, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021. He was born on May 14, 1941, in Greenville, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Morse, his children Sally (Mark) Mathis, Betty (Marty), McCoy, Alice Morse, Elizabeth (Chris) Farist, Edward (Ashley) Morse, Melissa (Mark) Niles, John (Erica) Morse, Andy (Courtney) Morse, Ronnie (Staci) Morse, and Jennifer (Dillon) Simpson He has two sisters Marlene (Nick) Zigterman, Joyce Stinger and one brother Ivan (Betty) Morse. He has 30 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Eleanor Morse, his sister Darlene Kruger, his son Rory Morse and his daughter Tammie Morse.
Eldon will be missed by many. As long as I can remember he was a volunteer fireman. He started that in MI and continued when he moved down South in the 80s, I remember him working at Dales restaurant and Kettle restaurants doing upholstery. He was called inspector gadget by most of the employees that worked at Dales. They would always say he can fix anything. He used to impersonate Elvis Presley and as the years went by, he loved to go sing Karaoke. He worked Elections in Nesbit MS for 30+ years. He worked for the Sheriff Department in Hernando MS for many years. So many other things in his life he has done but you all know him in your special way, and I hope his memory lives in your hearts forever.
Words cannot express how much we thank you for the expressions of sympathy and all the help you provided us during our moment of sorrow. We are truly grateful for your friendship and support. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, June 15th 2021, 2pm until service time at 4pm at Parkway Baptist Church in Hernando, MS. Interment will take place at Nesbit Cemetery.
