Obituary for Esther Charlotte Gammel
Esther Charlotte Gammel, age 88, a resident of Eudora, MS, passed away on November 4, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born April 11, 1934 in Dewitt, Arkansas.
She married the love of her life, Johnny Gammel, on February 27, 1950, in Arkansas. She was a life-long homemaker. A proud farmer’s wife, she raised their 3 daughters, was a wonderful cook and seamstress, spent many hours in the garden or tending to her flowers and got great joy out of beating anybody she could in a game of dominos and checkers.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Sims and her husband, Jeff, of Southaven, MS; Dean Childers of Eudora, MS; Teressa Boland of Eudora, MS; 3 grandchildren, Clay Thomas, Julie Gates and John Thomas, 8 great-children and 7 great-great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Gammel, her parents, Luther Dumond and Emma Ross Dumond, and numerous brothers and sisters.
