Obituary for Jaunice Williams

Evelyn Jaunice "Niecie" Williams was absent from the body and present with the Lord at 4:56am on April 6th 2022. She was born, October 17th 1927, in Senatobia, MS, to her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira McCullough, Sr. She was a faithful member at Trinity Baptist Church, where she was born again as a young adult.

In 1945, Niecie married Bill Williams of Eudora, MS and spent the remainder of her life fulfilling her family's every need and all of their wants within her power. She was employed at the Mississippi State Employment Service for over 25 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Elaine Carlisle, brother Sonny McCullough and a sister-in-law Mamie White.

Many, many memories will remain with her daughters, Judy (Lonnie) McElyea and Herky (Perry) Sullins. Jaunice was proudly known as Niecie and Nanny to her grandsons; Perry McElyea, Paul (Holly) McElyea, Phillip (Erin) McElyea, Peyton (Megan) Sullins and granddaughter Courtney Jaunice Sullins. As well as her great grands; Madison, Aubrey, Ava and Claire. One great-great grandson, Grayson. She leaves one sister-in-law, Betteye Perkins and her bonus family, Kathy (McElyea) Gray: David, Michael, Jennifer, Jake, Gunner and Claire. She also left behind many loving nieces and nephews.

We will forever miss and hold in our hearts this woman of style, grace, beauty and unconditional love.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 9th 2022, 9am until service time at 10am all at Hernando Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in Eudora, MS.
