Gloria Jean Dhority, 89, was born October 17, 1933 and passed peacefully into Heaven April 17, 2023. Gloria served 27 years as a schoolteacher in Memphis City Schools. She was also a long-time active member of Hernando United Methodist Church. Gloria is survived by two sisters,Dot Clifton and Becky Vaccaro; two brothers, Tom Clark and Dewitt Clark; daughters Susan Farley (Anthony) of Southaven, MS and Carla Meadows of Silver Point, TN; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl Dhority, parents Annie and Amos Clark; sister Maretta Clark, brother James Ray Clark, son-in-law Lee Meadows, and great-granddaughter Lily Joy Zelinski. The family will be receiving friends at Hernando United Methodist Church Saturday, April 22nd, from 10am-12pm with services to follow at 12 pm. Interment to follow at Longtown Cemetery.
