Obituary for Helen Bright
Helen Ruth Ward Bright was born to Ella Belle Pace Ward and J. W. (Bill) Ward on July 26, 1924. She transitioned peacefully from this life on Monday, May 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Bright and son, Eddie.
She leaves behind daughters Mary Helen (Terry) Locke and Wanda (Scott) Baer; granddaughter Stephanie Locke, grandsons David Locke and Robert Baer; great-granddaughters Michaela (Drew) Nance and Zoe Swindler, by whom she was genuinely adored. Ruth was loved greatly by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews of her and Robert’s combined 23 siblings.
Ruth was a dedicated wife and mother who loved and cherished family and friends alike. She found great satisfaction tending her garden and flowers, as well as tending any family member or friend with a need. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church, where she enjoyed Keenagers and developed many loving friendships.
