James Richard "Rick" Braswell, 63, of Lake Cormorant, MS, passed away peacefully at his home on February 26th, 2022. Rick was born on November 14th, 1958 to James and Dorothy Braswell in Memphis, TN. Raised in Whitehaven, Rick graduated from SBEC and attended the University of Memphis. He ultimately completed trade school with a specialty in diesel mechanics. His career started with Haygood in which he was instrumental in establishing a new location in Nashville, TN. He later began his twenty year career at The Baddour Center serving as fleet and facilities manager. The last of his career was spent in a fleet management role at Vickers and Maco Transportation. Rick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Ashley; children Jennifer (Jeremy) Ward, Jimmy (Alaina) Braswell, and Chad Massey; six grandchildren Lindy, Kaley, Gabe, Grady, Emma, and Molly; one sister Jane (Paul) Baddour; niece Kristen (Steve) Montgomery and nephew Paul Jr. (Sunny) Baddour; several great nieces and nephews. Rick was a passionate dog lover who rescued and cared for many furry four legged friends who will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at The Baddour Center in Senatobia, MS.
