Joshua Jay Loflin was born to Jay and Tonya (Curry) Loflin on March 18th, 1988. He graduated from Independence High School in 2005. He enlisted in the U.S. Army the following year in 2006. Joshua was a highly decorated War Veteran serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Beverly Loflin. His is survived by his parents Jay and Tonya Loflin; children Jude and Eleanor Loflin of MS and Hudson Loflin of Virginia; brothers Jake (Breanna) Loflin, Elliott (Hannah) Loflin; sister Olivia Loflin; grandparents Gene Loflin, Bill and Luzetta Curry; nephew Oliver Loflin; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Joshua was dearly loved by all and will surely be missed. The family will be receiving friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday, August 3rd, with services being held the following day at 10 am, all at Hernando Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Mt. Zion cemetery.
