Martha Louise Heflin Atkinson, 80, was born December 1st, 1941 and passed away peacefully at her home June 4th, 2022. She is survived by her daughters Lori Strickland of Hernando, MS, Kathy Delgado of Las Vegas, NV; sons Harvey Lynn Hendrix of York, SC, Michael Thorton of Southaven, MS, Donald (Donnie) Atkinson of Lake Charles, LA; sister Bonnie Childress; brothers Roy Grunden of Nesbit, MS, Kubie Grunden of Olive Branch, MS; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Martha is preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert Atkinson; parents James R. Heflin and Eva Lee Dalehite Grunden; step father Lester Grunden; and sister Julia Grunden Crosthwait. The family will be receiving friends Friday, June 10th, from 1-2 pm with services beginning at 2 pm all at Hernando Funeral Home.
