Philip Gary Marlar, age 57, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away peacefully in his sleep March 7, 2021 in his home from natural causes.
Born April 8, 1963 in Memphis, TN, Philip is survived by his three children, Christopher (Amanda), Jacquelyn (Cory) and Nathan. Along with his three grandchildren and seven siblings.
Philip was a devoted father, a caring and loving brother and friend. His love for his children was always evident and shown in his contagious smile. He had other loves as well, playing the guitar, writing songs, reading, playing X-Box and animals. He had a huge place in his heart for animals. He was a simple man with a brilliant mind as a statistician in football, movies and music. His ability to make you smile was endless and his quick wit kept everyone he met laughing. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and never wavered from that devotion from the time he was a young boy. Philip had a strong work ethic and was employed at Martin and White Mechanical Contractors Inc.
Philip will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and anyone that crossed his path.
