Obituary for Phyllis Cole Wolfe

Phyllis Cole Wolfe, 83, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023. Phyllis was born on April 22, 1939, in Paynes, MS, where she was raised alongside her brother and sisters. Phyllis was a devoted follower of Jesus, a lifelong partner and wife to her husband Bob, a loving mother, and “Gran Phil” to her grandchildren. She was a faithful and active member of Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando. Phyllis was an educator for 25 years and impacted the lives of many while she was a teacher. She spent much of her later years living in Hernando, MS where she and Bob opened Magnolia Grove, a bed and breakfast, for which they owned for several years. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and playing solitaire. It was not unusual to see her rocking in a chair on her back patio or out “deadheading” her flower beds. She lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by many. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 10 starting at 10 a.m. at Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Magnolia Garden Cemetery in Paynes, MS. Phyllis is preceded in death by Robert “Bob” Wolfe, husband of 58 years, Parents; Alfred and Bernice Cole; Sisters; Jewel Cook and Jean Foley. She is survived by her sons, Jason Wolfe of Hereford, TX; Jarmon Wolfe and wife Carissa of Tomball, TX; Jonas Wolfe and wife Karen of Friendswood, TX; Granddaughters, Janie Wolfe, Jacey Wolfe, Kendall Wolfe, Jordan Wolfe, Jenna Wolfe; Brother, Bobby Cole and wife Marilyn of Hernando; Sister, Brenda Myers of Carbondale, IL.
