Obituary for Richard Henderson

Richard Daniel Henderson, 58, married, a resident of Olive Branch, passed away on September 29, 2022.

He graduated from Sheffield High School in Memphis, TN, and was currently an Owner Operator at Jaymac Logistics in Memphis. During his lifetime, he received numerous bowling awards, including the Memphis City Championship Award. He loved riding motorcycles and driving his big truck and was proud of his Million Mile Safety Award

He is survived by his spouse of 24 years, Eva (Cleveland) Henderson, sons Christopher Henderson (Brooke), Michael Kelly (Tracy), sister Loretta Gammel(David), brother Gregory Henderson, brothers -in-law James Cleveland (Mary), John Cleveland, granddaughters Sophie Crawford, Kennedy Henderson, nieces Kaitlyn Peel (Blake), Wendy McCrory (Nick), Tiffany Kelly (Lance), nephews Daniel Gammel (Amanda), Daniel Cleveland (Aleasha), great-nieces Lillie Gammel, Geneva Kelly, Ava Grace Kelly, Reagan Kelly, and great-nephew Logan Cleveland.

He was predeceased by his parents Waymon Daniel Henderson and Doris Jean Henderson, his sister Teresa Lynn Henderson and his stepson Charles Ricky Beavers, Jr

A memorial service will take place at Hernando Funeral Home in Hernando, MS, on Saturday, October 8th, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.

The family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. John w. Allen, Jr. for the care he provided Me. Henderson during his illness. We would also like to express our thanks to the Olive Branch 901 Dispatch officer that took the call, the Olive Branch Police Department, Olive Branch Fire Department and Paramedics, and Methodist Hospital -Olive Branch. The fast response and services you provided were exceptional.
