It is with great sadness that the family of Robbie M. May announces her passing on January 5, 2021 at the age of 77. Devoted wife of Jerry W. May. Much loved mother of David Walters (Leigh Ann) and Rhonda Kelly (David) and stepmother of Jennifer Miller (Jeff) and Russ May. Cherished "Granny" of Ashleigh Walters, Holly Duckworth, Justin Kelly, Christopher Kelly, Tyler Miller, Sydney Miller, Katie Savage, Amy May, Mac May, and Ian May. Adoring great grandmother, a title she so proudly displayed, of Carson and Beckham Duckworth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Whitaker and Mary Starnes; sister Maxine Pittman. She was a member of Getwell Church, retired business owner and caterer, loved holidays, playing games, shopping, and had a love of all animals. Most in life, Robbie was happiest when spending time with family and friends. She adored her family and her friends were indeed family in her eyes. She never met a stranger. Whether you met her for the first time or had known her a lifetime, she treated you like you were the most important person in the world. She had a passion for cooking-one of the many ways she showed her love. If she did not convince you that you were family with her charm and personality, she would bring on the food! Between the two, no one stood a chance of feeling they were anything other than family. Thank you all for being part of our family. Mom, you always gave of your time and your heart. Your immense love of family, love of God, sense of humor, and contagious smile will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts until we meet again, Due to Covid19, services will be held for family and close friends only. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday January 23, 2021 at Hernando Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Horn Lake, MS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
