"Sandra Kay Johnson died peacefully February 18, 2022, after a battle with cancer.
Sandy was born Sandra Kay Cooper, in Memphis Tennessee to parents Herman and Yvonne Cooper. She was a happy God fearing woman, who gave freely her time to anyone, especially those
who needed comforting. Sandy was a true friend to many.
She is survived by daughter, McKinley Powers (John) and two grandsons, Atticus and Gideon. She also leaves three sisters, Brenda Kokes, Debbie Pope (Bob), and Judy Watkins (Doug). Sandy leaves many nieces and nephews. Siblings Ronnie, Donald (Duck), Tammy , and Cynthia preceded her in death along with their parents.
Sandy's daughter, McKinley says, "Her Mom was a wonderful Mother and a very proud Grandmother." Sandy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration has been arranged, all are welcomed. March 12, 2022 at 12 noon Mt. Zion Baptist Church 9290 Hwy 306 / Millie Turn Dr. Independence, MS
