Obituary for Shirley B Sollinger

Shirley Sue Smith Sollinger was a caring wife, mother, grandmother,
great grandmother, sister, and friend.
She went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at age 76.
She was raised and loved by her parents Ermon and Clytee Smith of the
Eggville Community. After graduating from Mooreville High School she
married Charlie Cates and they had two sons Michael and David.

Shirley had lived in many area of Mississippi and was a beacon of light
for all these communities. She started her career in factory work and
then built a very successful insurance business. She took great pride in
helping people.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Ed Sollinger, sons Michael
Cates(Jennie) of Fulton Ms, David Cates (Becky)of Pontotoc, Stepdaughter
Jeanne (JD) Conrad of Ohio, Stepson Ted Sollinger (Scott) of Chicago,
Il,sister Evelyn Thompson of Tupelo,Ms. Niece Robin (Howard) Tindall of Tupelo, Ms., great-niece Kylie Steward and great-nephew Hayden Tindall,Granddaughter Bethany Sparks (Curt) of Mooreville Ms, Chase Catesof Mantachie MS, James Lowe of Pontotoc Ms, Joshua Livesay of Tupelo Ms,
Dustin Handley of Ohio, great-grandchildren, Shayne Lowe, Haley Lowe
both of Pontotoc Ms and Baylor Sparks of Mooreville.

Visitation will be Sunday January 9, 2022 at 12pm with services
following at 2pm. Hernando Funeral Home, Hernando MS has charge.
