Obituary for Spencer Emmons Yarbrough
Spencer Emmons Yarbrough, of Hernando, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. He was 37 years old.
Spencer attended Alturia Elementary, Shadowlawn Middle, and Bartlett High School in Bartlett, TN. He graduated from North Gwinnett High School in Buford, GA in 2003. He attended Northwest Community College in Southaven, MS.
Spencer loved playing golf and enjoyed many sports. He was an avid Florida State football fan. He followed Atlanta Braves baseball and Formula One racing. Spencer loved children especially his niece Gabbie, his nephew Aaron, and the children of his dear friends.
He is survived by his mother Nancy Yarbrough, his father Doug Yarbrough, his brother Lance Yarbrough and his wife Dana; his niece Gabbie and his nephew Aaron; his grandfather Dennis Yarbrough, his grandmother Gloria Emmons and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Opal Yarbrough, his grandfather Mack Emmons and his uncle Kim Yarbrough.
The family expresses their heart-felt gratitude for the loving care and support they received from the staff on the 5th floor of Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family will be receiving friends from 9-10 am Monday, December 19th, 2022 with services beginning at 10 am all at Hernando Funeral Home.
