Obituary for Terri Caldwell

Terri Caldwell went to be with the good Lord on December 30, 2022, after a hard-fought battle
with cancer. She lived a joy-filled life as a daughter, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristie Carpenter (Timothy Carpenter) and
Haley Margolis (Laurence Margolis), her mother Betty Tackett (Donald Tackett), her
grandchildren, Alyssa Peyton Pirani, Sarah Ashley Tice-Margolis, Hannah Ruth Margolis,
Joseph Abraham Margolis, great-grandchild, Rivers Pirani, and her niece and two nephews,
Nicole Abraham, Brandon Abraham and Brett Abraham.
Terri was born June 21, 1957, in Clarksdale. After graduating high school, she moved around
for years before settling in Hernando. She spent her life caring for others as a nurse for over 26
years, retiring from the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department on November 30, 2020. Her
favorite days were when she was spending time with family, paying for other people’s dinners,
enjoying a glass of wine, and cozying up watching her favorite movies.
Terri “Nana” Caldwell was a role model to many, and she will be greatly missed by her friends
and family. She was greeted at Heaven’s gate by her father Bobby and her brother Chuck with a
great big hug and their way of saying I love you, “I-O-WEE”.
