Obituary for Tim Hawkins

Timothy Wayne Hawkins was born to Grady and Gladys Hawkins in Atlanta, Georgia on
December 1, 1959. Tim was a talented woodworker and cabinet designer, building beautiful
cabinets in homes across the country. Most importantly, Tim was a loving husband, father, and
grandfather.
Tim met Barbara in high school and married the love of his life on July 29, 1978. Their romance
lasted more than four decades and was blessed by two wonderful children and four
grandchildren. He was a loving Pawpaw who spent time playing with his grandchildren and
teaching them how to be kind and loving people. They brought him so much joy and happiness.
In 2003, Tim and Barbara relocated to Hernando after Tim was transferred to Ford Motor
Company’s location in Memphis.
When he wasn’t working, Tim enjoyed spending time with Barbara and his grandkids, regaling
strangers with tales of Jason’s exploits on film sets, perfecting his smoke-master skills by
smoking any and all food and cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
Tim is survived by his loving wife Barbara, daughter Katie (Scott), son Jason (Randi),
grandchildren Cristian (Rebekah), Nicholas, Addison, and Harrison, his siblings Pat, Rick, and
Henry, as well as extended family, friends, and coworkers that he touched with his infectious
laugh and ridiculous sense of humor.
