Obituary for Walter Milford Odom
Walter Milford Odom, 85, of Southaven, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday, October 24, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen B. Odom; daughter Sheri Odom Bobbitt and son-in-law Ken Bobbitt. He is preceded in death by his father Walter Harvey Odom and mother Marie Bennett Odom.
Milford received his accounting degree from Mississippi State in 1958. He not only used his accounting degree for income but also to serve others. He served by being an accountant for his beloved Horn Lake Methodist Church and for Habitat for Humanity. He also volunteered at the Samaritan’s along with his wife.
Through the years Milford enjoyed traveling, bowling and spending time with his family. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Baptist Hospice for their care and support during his final days.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 on Thursday, October 28th, at the Hernando Funeral Home, with services to follow. Upon completion of service, burial will follow at New Bethlehem Cemetery.
